Ale's voluntary smiles arrived this week, much to the delight of her parents, and add to her growing bag of tricks...including sleeping 5 hours last night! We head down to LA tomorrow morning to celebrate the 75th birthday of Grandpa Osting (Jeanette's dad) and will see how Ale does on a 6 hour car trip...

I'm so cute...I saw my pediatrician today and I'm now up to 9 lbs 6 oz, and chubbing up on Mommy's milk (note my wiggleable cheeks!) at a healthy clip of ~1 oz/day, making cooing sweet-nothing sounds, and looking attentively at this brave new world around me...
